In Lujiazui, Pudong district of Shanghai, a new pedestrian bridge was built in the year 2011. It is a circular foot bridge, which enables pedestrians to avoid traffic at the round-about terminus of Lujiazui Rd. The circular overpass, besides looking good, connects the Oriental Pearl Tower, with leisure areas such as shopping malls and cafes, and a transit station, along with some office buildings.
The walkway is 18 feet (5.5 meters) high, and up to 15 people can fit if they should decide to walk side by side.
